The Foundation recognizes the following gifts:
GIFTS OF CASH
ONLINE DONATIONS
MEMORIAL DONATIONS- Honour the name of a loved one who has died. In memoriam gifts support the medical equipment fund.
TRIBUTE DONATIONS - Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to make a donation in honour of a family member or friend. For special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or the holiday season, a donation in lieu of a gift is a great way to make a lasting impression.
MONTHLY DONATIONS- Anyone can become a monthly donor, no matter the size or designation of the gift. You decide the payment schedule, monthly, bimonthly, three times a year, whatever is most convenient for you.
PLANNED GIFTS-Bequests, life insurance, securities and other planned gifts. A bequest is a gift of cash or property that you make in your will. For more information on planned giving, please see the Gift of a Lifetime page.
PLEDGES - These are recognized for their annual payment amount. The total amount pledged is recognized in the year the final payment is received.
GIFTS OF SECURITIES- Individuals who donate appreciated securities directly to PECMHF will pay no taxes on the capital gain. However, if the securities are sold and the cash is then donated, a 50 per cent capital gain will be taxable. For more information, please see the Gifts of Securities page.
ENDOWMENT FUNDS- An endowment fund is a permanent fund that goes on forever. The principal remains intact and only the investment income is paid out annually. Your gift can be designated for a specific purpose or remain unrestricted. There is no minimum amount required for the general endowment fund.
SPECIAL EVENTS- An annual signature event and all third party events hosted by individuals and organizations who donate the proceeds to the Foundation.
