On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (PECMHF) and six local galleries are hosting a special fundraising auction of curated contemporary and historical fine art to Back the Build for our new County hospital.

Our new hospital will continue to be staffed with skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals, whom we affectionately refer to as our Care Champions. I am proud to Back the Build to help guarantee that the next generation that chooses to make The County home or comes to visit has every opportunity to work, play and be cared for in their own backyard.

Recently, in partnership with The County Guys Real Estate Group, the foundation launched a bursary for hospital employees pursuing education that will benefit health care, who are motivated to help and heal others, and who are passionate about nurturing a healthy quality of life in Prince Edward County.

Spring has always been a busy time for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (PECMHF) team as we close off our current fiscal year on March 31 and welcome a new fundraising year.

Donors and donations are at the core of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s (PECMHF) ability to help keep our County hospital one of the best rural hospitals in Ontario. As soon as a visitor in need of care passes through our hospital doors, they know they are in a place where they’ll receive the best care possible. That’s why every dollar counts and every donor makes a difference.

Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) and other hospitals within the Quinte Health team are facing difficult situations. Our emergency department continues to see high volumes of patients, many of whom are admitted with serious and complex illnesses.

Last year, patients were treated at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) 43,525 times. You might wonder what that looks like on a daily or even hourly basis.

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation has been providing regular updates on how much our organization has raised toward our $27M goal. What we haven’t shared with you is how much cash our organization has received.
