YOUR GIFTS AT WORK

Your Gifts at Work

Donors and donations are at the core of the foundation’s ability to help keep our County hospital one of the best rural hospitals in Ontario. As soon as a visitor in need of care passes through the doors of our hospital, they’ll know they are in a place where they’ll receive the best care possible. That’s why every dollar counts, and every dollar makes a difference.

Medical staff writes an order

Approximately 43,000 patient visitors pass through the hospital’s doors annually. Our health care professionals treat over 20,000 patients in the Emergency Department alone. Close to 850 people are admitted annually for inpatient care, many for acute medical situations such as pneumonia and heart attacks.

Equipment Requirements

Medical equipment is expensive and has a short lifespan of five to 10 years. Unlike many operating costs, equipment is not funded by the government; it is expected that the community finance the replacement of medical equipment and building redevelopment through the work of hospital foundations. This is why support from our donors is so important.
